Around 150 people are being held in makeshift detention centres across Australia, after arriving from Manus and Nauru under medevac legislation. Some have been locked up for over eight years, with no certainty about when or if they will be released.
These people came to Australia seeking our protection but instead have been separated from their families and isolated from the world, indefinitely.
The toll of indefinite and prolonged detention is severe. Many people are being kept in hotel rooms, and are experiencing deteriorating mental and physical health.
This page was created so you can record a message of support for those innocent people who are struggling. Some kind words from you will remind them that they are not alone.
